Requests?
Yes, I’ll take almost any request (feature film, short film, avant-garde). However, a request may take some time to actually be posted simply because of the sheer demand, my staying offline during the time a request is made, or me being distracted like that dog from Up. If you want to make a request, simply ask.
___
“Almost any request?”
I will not take this movie. Also, I won’t do music videos unless it’s widely considered as a short film (see: Kanye West’s Runaway, Arcade Fire’s Scenes from the Suburbs, Beastie Boys’ Fight for Your Right Revisited). Again, I limit my stills to feature films, short films, and the avant-garde, but of course, the focus remains on full-length feature films.
___
Will you take requests of specific scenes/characters/locations in a film?
I can try, but there’s no guarantee. Obviously, if I haven’t seen the film beforehand, don’t expect amazing results. At the very least I’ll post a random still from the movie requested.
___
Where do you get your images from?
A mix of google images, listal, blu-ray.com, tumblr itself, etc. If you’re concerned that I’ve “stolen” your image, then contact me via the ask tab.
___
“Can you do some Enter the Void stills?”
Honestly, that’s probably the most frequently asked question I get. Click here.
___
Why the small movie still size? Can’t you make them any bigger?
I’d like to make my movie stills bigger, but I like the uniformity of having hundreds and hundreds of stills of around 500x215 even more. Finding bigger movie stills is time consuming, and all these requests are quite demanding. So unfortunately, I’ll have to stick with the old standard.
___
Have you seen all the movies you posted?
I’ve seen maybe 60-75% of these films.
___
Why is the page called “The Art of Movie Stills?” What is art?
That’s a profound question. There’s extensive literature on the subject, but I do have this explanation.
___
Dammit, why don’t you like Gremlins?

Who am I?
That’s a really deep, possibly unanswerable existential question. I don’t know if I can tackle such a difficult subject matter shrewdly enough to suit all you philosophers out there, but the best I can offer is this.
